Customized Padlock

After we designed the Steel Shroud in 2003 we spent many months selecting a Padlock to use inside the Steel Shroud.

As you can imagine there are hundreds of different brands and sizes of padlocks sold world-wide. The main criteria for the Padlock we required was, it must be capable of being:

Keyed Alike
Master Keyed
Set up with a Restricted System

by any professional Locksmith in the World.

Why

Because we knew some of our sales of Padlock Protector will be to individuals, companies or government departments that require multiple Padlock Protector keyed alike, master keyed or be set up with their own restricted system.

We finally chose two brands of Padlock to use inside the Steel Shroud, one named Abus 83/45 Padlock - Abus Padlock.

Padlock Customized To Fit Inside The Steel Shroud

Padlock Protector partially assembled. You can see how the Padlock and the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain are secured inside the Steel Shroud.

Our Locksmith customizes each Padlock so its Shackle is completely removable, as you can see in the two above pictures.

How To Use Padlock Protector

Put both ends of the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain in the slot on either side of the Steel Shroud. Then put the padlock's Shackle in the slot on top, then insert the Padlock Body into the bottom and push it into the Shackle and lock it.

This guarantees
your padlock will be impenetrable

when a thief is trying to break-in or steal your property using a Leverage Attack, Hammer Attack or Bolt Cutter Attack.

Padlock Protector includes a 500mm length of 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain as this is long enough for approximately 75% of Padlock Protector sales eg. to secure a gate to a post, double gates together or to place the 10mm diameter High Tensile Chain through some 4WD Camper Trailer wheels or through the front or back Wheel of a Motorbike and lock it.
